Our boys have being seeing Master Dee Dee for +3 years. She started our boys in little dragons at 3/4 years old and had them going to training and competitions the first year. She pushes each child to have self control as the basis for anything else to be in their control. I love her mantra and teaching style. Great mix of martial arts and play.

Great place to learn taekwondo. Master DD, Master Max, and Master Joanna are great instructors who care about the people who come to learn the art. They will take the time to help you learn 1 on 1. This has been a fantastic place for my almost 10 year old daughter to learn martial arts. They also have movie nights every last Friday of the month and celebration on holidays. A great way for kids as well as parents to make friends and be social. I 100% recommend Martial Arts of Des Plaines.

Des Plaines Martial Arts teaches you the real oriental discipline. This is a family run place with deep-rooted values and integrity. They live by the 5 tenets of taekwondo and do a fabulous job teaching discipline to the little ones. You will truly enjoy watching your child’s first FREE class! Come check it out for yourself. I have also enrolled my child for their summer camp, where math, playground and athleticism is combined! Did I also say games? They have the most fun atmosphere and kids love it! A MUST Try!! 5-star RECOMMEND. Master DD is a gem!

Small family ran taekwondo studio that my feels at home when he walks in the door. There is a sense of trust and community all while learning taekwondo. My son has been here over a year, he loves the tournaments, his teachers, and has made great friends. They are very family centered and it shows! I can’t say enough great things about DPMA! Master DD, Max and Joanna are incredible teachers both in the studio and outside, they instill value and morals while teaching taekwondo.

I am so grateful that I enrolled both my children in The Des Plaines Martial Arts. Master DD, Master Max, and Master Joana are amazing instructors, and it is obvious that they are passionate about helping their students grow and Master the art of Taekwondo. I highly recommend this place as a after school activity and to help children stay healthy. Also it's a great place for adults to get into shape through working out and learn self-defense.

This is great place where your kid can spend fun time learning Taekwondo, self defense, discipline and make some friends too. Master DD and Master Max are very good instructors and they treat my son like family. 🥋

I am so impressed with the progress my son has made since starting martial arts classes! The instructors Master Max, Master DD and Miss Joanna are knowledgeable, patient, and great at encouraging the kids to do their best. My son has gained not only physical strength and agility, but also mental discipline and focus. I appreciate how the instructors emphasize the importance of respect, both for oneself and for others, and how they create a positive, inclusive environment for all the students. I highly recommend Des Plaines Martial Arts to any parents looking to enroll their kids in martial arts classes!
