Service was poor. There were only a few people in there and had 3 or 4 bar tenders and could hardly get service. But the mead was very with the hype. I'd rather drink it there than buy it to go 9-15$ /glass $22 a 375ml bottle. But I liked the space. It's in a busy downtown shopping district with metered parking. guy next to me had several bottles of stuff when I asked to buy they said it was unavailable maybe he bought the last bottle of 3 different types?

Edit at end. Full transparency never been to the actual location but have ordered direct and purchased from vendor. The customer service I received from this vendor was awesome. Meads I've tried are heather, leatherwood, heart of darkness (cherry/currant). Someone else mention dansk mjod. Yes, I would say get that if this is not feasible with the cost. Both are awesome and I drink them both for different occasions. They aren't the same shelf. This for me is special occasion (Beltane, Lughnasagh, etc). It is absolutely gorgeous. All meads I have tried are layered, so deeply honey driven, and loaded with fruits for the melomel. If you want to taste the season, and be grateful for what the plants and insects combined with human effort can make, taste a narrative. Drink home made mead if you can make it or get it from a loved one, share it, or for my situation I have to buy it. I do recommend this meadery, and yes it is expensive. Edit I did visit and left with a bottle of their cyser. I went for a flight and it was great - the service was friendly and welcoming and I also got a book to help me learn more. Not cheap, but extremely high quality.

The reason we were in town and they did not disappoint. Quality and passion touch everything these guys do. The staff was amazing from the owner to the bar staff. The mead? IMO the best in the world. Outstanding experience - will be back as soon as the stash I bought runs out.

I placed my first mail order for mead from Schramm's and the experience was great. Ordering was simple and shipping was fast and convenient. And of course the mead is great. I'll be ordering again in the future for sure.

If you haven’t tried Mead, thought about trying Mead or even if you have, you need to go here. Awesome friendly and knowledgeable staff serving the best Mead in the world. The family has been in business for decades and knows how to make a great product. Fruits, berries, and honey.

I was gifted two bottles of the ginger mead. The ginger flavor was so faint if I didn't know it was supposed to be ginger mead I would have just thought the mead was a delicious plain mead. The mead had a great mouthful and beautiful color. Too bad no ginger flavor. The person who gifted the bottles to me stated that the tasting room was closed and could only purchase via online orders. The meadery is only open on Friday and Saturday noon to 6pm. So weird
