Martin Striking Academy

Such an incredible atmosphere! The teacher, Master Martin, phenomenal. He’s great with the kids, and you see it even in the family he’s built within the community. My son loves going and I myself am going to start sneaking in with some private lessons…gotta keep up with the kiddo!

MSA is a community treasure. My two sons and I have studied here for many years. Eddie is that rare combination of a true master of his craft and a master teacher. It’s hard to overstate what a positive force MSA has been in our lives in terms of fitness, mental health, discipline and fun! Eddie teaches from the highest level to the young children. I would recommend for anyone!

MSA is a wonderful community dojo for children, teens and adults. Eddie is an amazing teacher and creates an atmosphere of fun and discipline. He is a truly gifted teacher and coach, equally supportive and challenging. My son has been going to his classes for years and Eddie has been a wonderful influence and inspiration! Our family is very grateful to have Eddie and the MSA community in our neighborhood and our lives.

My son has been going to this taekwondo class for over two years now. I can’t praise it high enough. We’ve had negative experiences at other martial arts schools and Coach Eddie is nurturing, tough in all the good ways and an excellent mentor. Coach Eddie has given our son the confidence to feel safe and to push himself to always do his best. We also love the fact that Coach Eddie does not require the students to buy a uniform or buy belts of different colors as they advance. I have also taken the adult classes and I love them. The workouts are demanding and super fun. I’ve had some injuries.(Not from the TKD classes) And Coach Eddie is very accommodating and lets me move at my own pace. MSA is a wonderful place for Kids and adults to learn TKD. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

MSA has been a great experience for my daughter. Coach Eddie has helped her build self confidence, strength and self control and after every class, she leaves inspired to do better each time. We are so grateful to have Coach Eddie in our neighborhood.

Really great self defense facility. Instructor Martin is humble, patient & gives detailed instructions on how to perform techniques. Prices are the best in NYC and the quality he teaches is worth so much more than the prices.

Martin Striking Academy is a unique and vibrant dojo. Both my son and daughter have been practicing taekwondo with coach Eddie Martin for years. He is an outstanding coach and teacher for all ages. He balances kindness with discipline, humility with strength. He pays attention to each child individually while also creating a vibrant and respectful group/community environment. He is welcoming and gentle with new students and challenging to those with more experience. My kids have grown enormously through his classes-- both emotionally and physically. I am so grateful to have Coach Eddie and the MSA community in our lives
